For centuries, the linden tree has been known for its wonderful anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties. Water of linden consists largely of mucilage that forms a thin, transparent film capable of binding water and passing it on to the skin’s stratum corneum, leaving it moisturised and supple. It also contains flavonoids, such as rutin and quercetin, and tannins, substances with refreshing properties that are capable of ameliorating the redness typical of sensitive skin.
